I would like to introduce myself, my name is Ms. Jean Lashenka.  I was born and raised in Brick Town, New Jersey but have resided in the Stuart area for the last twenty five years. I attended Palm Beach Atlantic College in West Palm Beach, Florida where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  I currently hold a Florida State Teaching Certificate, as well as, a FACCS Certificate. I have two wonderful children, Peter (18) and Nadia (13) who both have attended Morningside Academy since preschool.  I have been teaching primary education at the elementary level for twenty three years. This will be my twenty first year at Morningside Academy and there is no place I would rather be. I enjoy teaching here because we are a family. It is a place where you can feel God’s presence on campus. I feel truly blessed to be able to bring God’s word in the classroom and pray every day with my students. It is just as important to pray at home, so I ask our families to pray for not only our class, but our school as well. I believe that a student should have a safe Christian environment to learn and grow in. In my spare time, I collect Star Wars memorabilia and Disney’s Snow White figurines. I love spending time with my family, my two cats Jake and Elwood and my two Golden Retrievers, Spartacus and Norris.
