I was born and raised in South Florida. I have my bachelor's degree in Arts and Humanities with emphasis in European History from Florida Atlantic University and a Master’s degree in Secondary Social Sciences from Nova Southeastern University. I have been in education for twenty-one years. I have taught 2nd – 8th grade. I began my teaching career here at Morningside Academy. I have taught at Morningside for a total of 12 years and have been in administration for 3 years. I lived in Chesapeake, Virginia for a few years where I was an educator for 6 years and worked as a case manager for foster care during that time as well. I love to travel and have had the opportunity to go to Italy, China, Israel, and Russia. I went to Russia twice with my church in Virginia where we ministered to an orphanage of abandoned children. I was blessed to go to Israel with my church family here a few years ago. It was an amazing experience to walk in the foot steps of Jesus. I consider it a privilege to be able to mentor and teach children in my daily life and look forward to the many exciting adventures ahead.
My favorite Bible verse is Psalms 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23:1-6 NIV)
