Our program provides a rich environment for living, thinking, and learning through experiences. Teachers recognize the importance of play, exploration, and experimentation. A child is presented with successive problems that demand the exercise of reasoning.
We offer A Beka curriculum, which is a ministry of Pensacola Christian College and approved by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS). The two curriculums, K-3 and K-4, are each geared to your child’s age group.
Our K-3 (3 year olds) program consists of four workbooks each hosted by the class mascots, Amber Lamb and Button Bear.
A. Letters and Sounds-introduction to phonics. Each letter is introduced by an animal alphabet friend. It is also designed to teach earlywriting skills. Children learn letter information and practice hand-eye coordination
B. Numbers and Skills-introduction to numbers. Children sharpen their listening skills, follow directions, and practice hand-eye coordination as they learn the idea of numbers. Children enjoy tracing pathways and coloring the large, simple forms of numbers.
C. Arts and Crafts-a variety of art projects which introduce children to basic art and craft ideas which correlate with the academics, Bible teachings, seasons and holidays, and safety and health.
D. Child Art-designed to teach children to learn colors and shapes, follow directions and develop hand-eye coordination. It features seasonal, patriotic, religious, safety and health pictures. They also reinforce academic ideas.
Our K-4 (4 year olds) program offers the following workbooks:
A. ABC-123-introduces number ideas and the writing of numbers. Children also enjoy counting the objects on the number sheets and coloring pictures. The phonics pages provide guided activities, which teach short and long vowels, simple consonants, and vowels and words containing on or two vowels.

C. ABC Writing Tablet-sample letters help children as the formation of their letters. The letter “houses” on the pages aid the children in their letter placement. (Not included in VPK). *
D. Readiness Skills-features coloring pages, art pages, and other activities designed to aid young children in developing writing readiness, hand-eye coordination, visual perception, and listening and thinking skills.
E. Art Projects-develops motor skills needed to draw, color, cut and paste. These art and craft projects correlate with academics, Bible teachings, and seasons.
F. Reading Books-a variety of simple reading books designed for young children’s first reading experiences.
